Fulnite (eszopiclone) is indicated in the treatment of chronic insomnia. Fulnite is what is known as a sedative or hypnotic drug. It affects the balance of chemicals in your brain that can cause insomnia, or trouble sleeping. This drug causes a relaxation effect to help you fall asleep and remain asleep. It can also be used in other off-label uses. Dosage and Administration Fulnite should only be taken as your doctor directs. You should not take more of it, take it more often, or take it for a longer time than your doctor prescribes. Too much of this medicine may cause mental or physical dependence. You should not take Fulnite when you do not have a full 8 hours for sleep. If you get up before 8 hours have elapsed, you may feel drowsy and have problems with memory until the medicine has had time to wear off. It is very important that you swallow the tablet whole an do not break, crush, or chew the tablet. It is not a good idea to take this drug after a heavy or high fat meal. Different patients will have different dosages of Fulnite. You should follow the dosage directions given by your doctor. Typically, for the treatment of insomnia, adults take 1 or 2 mg at bedtime. With children, usage an dosage must be determined by a physician. If you miss a dose, skip that dose and go back to your normal dosing schedule. Don't double up on doses. Store Fulnite out of the reach of children, and away from direct light and heat. Do not store Fulnite near a sink or other damp places because moisture can cause the medicine to break down. Dispose of outdated medicine or medicine you no longer need. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Side Effects of Fulnite (eszopiclone) Symptoms of Overdose: These symptoms include change in consciousness, loss of consciousness, confusion, unusual drowsiness Side effects that usually do not require medical attention: acid indigestion, cough, belching, dizziness, dry mouth, chills, fever, heartburn, lower back pain, nausea, pain, difficult urination, unpleasant taste in the mouth.
